A Continuing Professional Development Workshop
Workshop Title: Care of students with diabetes: In-depth review and latest technology updates
Overall Objective
By the end of this workshop the nurse will be able to:
- Describe diabetes management steps and develop skills for optimal diabetes care at schools.
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of the latest technologies in glucose monitoring.
- Explain key components of automated insulin delivery systems and acquire the skills needed to assist students using insulin pumps in performing required tasks.
- Master the delivery of diabetes care to anticipate and prevent acute diabetes complications.
