Indian Islamic Association Qatar had organized 15th Asian Medical Camp in Association with Hamad Medical Corporation, PHCC, Qatar Charity and is sponsored by Ooredoo. A number of Private clinics, Pharmacy companies, besides Qatar Diabetes Association are part of the camp. Thousands of people from different walks of life will attend the 15th Free Asian Medical Camp and the concurrent health awareness exhibition and lectures. The camp serves low-income workers irrespective of their nationality or other backgrounds.

As part of the social and humanitarian activities, QDA was very actively participated the last years as well this year 2016 camp. The camp started at 8:00 in the morning. The camp’s inauguration ceremony H.E. Indian Ambassador P Kumaran, senior officials from PHCC, HMC and Ooredoo and representatives of various government and non-government organizations.

Through the QDA booth 104 patients were measured blood glucose and found an 18 number of patient high in glucose. Some of those patients are having medication and remaining patients are come know during the test. Those patients are referred to QDA clinic.

On behalf of Qatar Diabetes Association, Dr. Mohamed Sahine, Specialist in General Medicine, working in Rayyan health Center give a lecture about the health awareness class. The lecture was very practical and discussed about the common disease in the community (i.e, Diabetic, BP, Heart diseases and Stroke).

The organizing committee, Indian Islamic Association Qatar has extent their sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Abdulla Al Hamaq, QDA Executive Director for the usual support and help. The campaign finished at 5:30 pm.
