QDA held an online discussion session for parents of children with type 1 diabetes , in cooperation with Sidra Medicine. With the participation of around 100 parents and guardians, the session focused on how to care for diabetic children, in light with an insulin pump.

It also focused on promoting mental health and measures necessary in the event of returning to schools at the start of the academic year in September. Executive Director of QDA Dr. Abdullah Al Hamaq expressed the association’s willingness to provide all possible assistance in training school nurses and faculties.

Dr Al Hamaq said these educational meetings with the parents of diabetic children will continue until things return to normal after the pandemic.
